Alicia shares more information on the modalities she practices:

Intuitive Energy Massage is a gentle yet profoundly transformational combination of energywork, bodywork, and intuitive spiritual counseling. It is an excellent way to facilitate the release of core issues and shift toward greater healing.

Fusion Massage uses Swedish Massage as a base and then incorporate various other techniques based on the individual needs of each client. Modalities are chosen from a palette of Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular Therapy, Acupressure, Myofascial Release, Reiki, and Guided Visualization.

Reiki balances the energies of the body, mind, and emotions via the chakra system and is a profoundly effective way to assist deep spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical healing.

Intuitive Reading is a one-on-one consultation and spirtual counseling session based on messages clairvoyantly channelled from her guides and yours. Alicia's readings often give clients a new perspective on a particular blockage and ways to move forward with clarity, vision, and connection to their higher purpose.

Chair Massage in the workplace or at events is a wonderful way to boost morale, increase productivity and invest in your staff.

Alicia Fronczek of Sacred Awakenings has been working with clients since 2001 as a Massage Therapist, an Energyworker, a Teacher, an Intuitive, and a Spiritual Counselor. She believes that each individual has a direct connection with their own power to heal, however many need assistance to remember that this is the case. Through the various services that she offers, Alicia is able to guide others to find the support necessary to shift into healing, balance, and wholeness. She focuses on the integration of the body, mind, and spirit as each is equally essential and inextricably linked to each other and to the overall wellbeing of each individual. When working with clients her approach is nurturing, wise, and illuminating - the effects of which have been profoundly transformational.

Alicia has trained extensively in many forms of bodywork and energywork and has developed her own healing modality called Intuitive Energy Massage, which incorporates the best of these physical and energetic techniques. Alicia is a Reiki Master Teacher, a Magnified Healing Practitioner, and a Lightbody Graduate and Sponsor.

Since 2004 she has facilitated workshops and retreats locally and nationally on various topics of alternative wellness and spirituality. In addition, she incorporates her artistic self into her healing work by designing spiritually conscious artwork and jewelry that is intended to affect change on subtle energetic levels. Alicia has practiced yoga since 1996 and in 2009 became a certified yoga instructor through the Kripalu lineage. She views yoga as yet another way in which she is able to assist others in finding their own light of healing within.

MINA MEES PARKER, RMT
412/427.9408

Mina Mees Parker is a graduate of The Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy and has been practicing yoga for over ten years. It is through her yoga awareness and training that she discovered the values and gifts of massage. Mina believes there is bond between yoga and massage; they are an extension of one another. Blending the manipulation of muscles and tissues with the breath and relaxation allows the body, mind and soul to realign into wellness. Wellness from pain or injury. Wellness from stress. Wellness for relaxation. Mina is skilled in the following styles of therapeutic massage:

Swedish - A non-invasive massage made up of long flowing strokes to soothe and calm sore muscles and nerves, improve circulation and relaxation.

Deep Tissue - A firm pressure massage targeting deep into muscles to aid in releasing the "knots."

Reiki - An energy balancing of mind/emotion, body/physical and spirit.

Combination - A combination of the above modalities to be used as the body dictates. For those times when you need a bit of this and that to feel your best.

Mina is a happily married, 23 year resident of Pittsburgh originally from New England. She has one grown child and one in High School plus two dogs, Stripe and Dot. Namaste.

JEAN ROMAN, BA Integrative Arts, CMT

Jean Roman of Harmonia Healing Arts shares more information on the modalities she practices:

The Acutonics system uses specially calibrated tuning forks on and above the body at specific points identified by traditional Chinese medicine. These points access the meridian and chakra energy systems and engage the natural ability of the body to heal. The tuning forks represent a harmonic series based on the orbital properties of the Earth, Sun, Moon and Planets. The sound waves of the forks vibrate and travel deeply into the body along the energy pathways, affecting the physiology, and reaching places not easily accessed by traditional medicine. Their rich resonance and vibration connects with and supports the body’s natural frequencies, stimulating and balancing the subtle energy fields, promoting healing and inner harmony. The vibrations of the forks also release muscle tension and support the regeneration of afflicted muscle tissue.

The Conscious Breath and vocal sound act in perfect harmony to balance and renew the body, mind and spirit. Toning on an exhale, with intention, creates a therapeutic experience unlike any other and yet, all Therapeutic Breath Work focuses the breath in some way. Conscious Breathing exercises can get to the root of an emotion, increase vitality, strengthen the immune system and brighten the day. Breath combined with vowels and tones and coordinated body gestures can be utilized to stimulate the organs of the body and their corresponding meridians, increasing energy, and promoting a greater awareness of the body’s natural ability to heal.

Massage is the systematic and scientific manipulation of the soft tissues of the body for the purpose of establishing or maintaining good health. Massage is used for a variety of reasons: to bring a client to a deeper level of relaxation, to rehabilitate, to prevent an injury, or to slow the progression of bodily distress. Massage can improve blood circulation and decrease blood pressure, while increasing life-enriching oxygen saturation in the blood. It can relieve muscular tension, relaxing muscles while increasing flexibility and range of motion, and can promote overall restfulness, while increasing improving body image and heightening self-esteem. Once considered merely an indulgence, massage has come into the limelight as a valuable tool in the maintenance of health and well-being.
